College Teaching
This is a short lesson I developed to prepare students for group projects. Each student had a secret behavior to exhibit (flirting, constant texting, negativity, shyness, positive inclusiveness, and relating everything to TV). After a short improvisation in front of the class, we discuss how these behaviors can affect a group’s productivity. I’ve found that such role-play gives students a vocabulary to talk about group dynamics and makes them better able to handle challenges that come up.
